World Whisky Day felt like the right time to finally release something we’ve been quietly working away on behind the scenes...

Introducing the first 3 whiskies in our Exploration Series:
• Tawny Cask Whisky
• Light Peat Whisky
• Mallee Smoke Whisky

The Exploration Series is all about us experimenting with flavour and learning as we go (and as our palates develop as well). So, different barrels, smoke, blends and techniques that let us explore where whisky can go.

Honestly we've just been having a blast making them, and can't wait to hear what you think!

What's the story behind you making whiskies?

Honestly, we never really planned on making whisky… but once we started experimenting with Barrel Aged Gin, we got hooked on what barrels can do to flavour.

The way a spirit transforms over time is honestly addictive to play around with.

At the same time, Greg’s palate slowly shifted and whisky became pretty much all he drinks these days… so this whole range turned into a bit of a passion project.
Why is it called the exploration series?

Because that’s exactly what it is for us - an exploration of flavour.

The Exploration Series is where we experiment with different barrels, smoke, blends, finishes, and techniques to see how far we can push whisky in our own Heaps Good way. Each release is small batch, a little different, and built around curiosity rather than sticking to one strict style.
How many bottles are there of each whisky? What happens when you sell out?

Each whisky in the Exploration Series is intended as a limited small-batch release, with only a small number of bottles produced from each barrel.

Once a release sells out, it’s gone for good and replaced by a new exploration as we continue experimenting with different barrels, smoke, blends, finishes, and styles of whisky making.
How long does shipping take?

We aim to get your order out the door fast - most orders are dispatched within 1 business day from our Adelaide warehouse.

Shipping is handled by Australia Post, so delivery times depend on your location:

  • Adelaide Metro: as quick as 1-2 business days
  • Other Metro areas: typically 2–6 business days
  • Remote areas: may take a little longer

Please note these timeframes are estimates only. During busy periods (like sales or Christmas), deliveries can take a bit longer than usual.
