Ginspresso Tiramisu

Ginspresso Tiramisu

There’s dessert… and then there’s tiramisu. And when you add Ginspresso to the mix? You’ve officially reached dessert heaven.

This Ginspresso Tiramisu is a rich, creamy twist on the Italian classic - the perfect make-ahead dessert for dinner parties, date nights, or just because. Inspired by RecipeTin Eats’ tiramisu recipe, we’ve swapped the traditional coffee liqueur for our smooth, espresso-rich Ginspresso to give it an extra kick of flavour (and plenty of local spirit).

Ginspresso Tiramisu Recipe

You'll need:

  • 3 eggs - separate the yolks and whites
  • ½ cup caster sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 250 g mascarpone
  • 200 g lady finger biscuits
  • 1 cup freshly brewed black coffee (hot)
  • ¼ cup Ginspresso
  • Cocoa powder (to finish)

How to make it:

  • Whip the yolks and sugar: in a stand mixer or with an electric beater, beat the egg yolks and sugar on medium-high until the mixture becomes thick, pale, and almost mousse-like - this usually takes around 10 minutes.
  • Whip the egg whites: clean the bowl and whisk, then beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form - they should be glossy, airy, and hold their shape.
  • Fold to combine: add half the mascarpone mixture into the beaten whites and gently fold with a spatula. Once mostly blended, add the rest and fold again until just combined.
  • Soak the biscuits: mix the hot coffee with the Ginspresso in a shallow dish. Briefly dip each lady finger so they absorb flavour without turning soggy.
  • Layer it up: arrange a layer of dipped biscuits in the base of your serving dish (or individual glasses). Spoon over a layer of the mascarpone cream. Repeat the process for two or more layers if needed, finishing with biscuits on top.
  • Chill: cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or ideally overnight to let the flavours meld and the texture firm up.
  • Serve and enjoy: just before serving, dust generously with cocoa powder and maybe an extra splash of Ginspresso for good measure!

Why It Works

The Ginspresso Tiramisu takes everything we love about the original - coffee, cream, and a hint of sweetness - and lifts it with the complex character of our signature Ginspresso. It’s rich yet balanced, indulgent yet surprisingly easy to make.

This is the dessert that makes people ask for seconds... and the recipe.
